Qatar National Olympic Committee (QNOC) secretary general Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani told the prestigious Forbes CEO Middle East Forum the success of the Asian Games Qatar has proved it is capable of hosting “the next big sporting event – the Olympics”.
Sheikh Saoud explained that a lot of planning had gone into staging the Games that brought together more than 10,000 athletes from 45 countries, reports the Gulf Times.
He said, “the best thing that we have found hosting the Asian Games is that we can really work together to achieve one goal and that is to tell other nations that we can make it”.
