According to an e-mail survey of 514 Korean and expat opinion leaders and foreign visitors, conducted by the Corea Image Communication Institute, PyeongChang’s successful bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games was the biggest contribution to enhancing the country’s brand this year.
The Korea Herald reports that of the 211 foreigners who participated in the survey, 119 said that PyeongChang, which won the 2018 bid in July, did the most to promote Korea worldwide.
