Pyeongchang to Represent Korea’s 2010 Bid

Pyeongchang, Korea of the Gangwon Province has been chosen by the Korean Olympic Committee to represent it’s 2010 bid. Earlier this month, Gangwon was chosen as the host province in a special committee vote.

Dan Moon, Executive Coordinator of the bid committee, told GamesBids.com that “…today we submitted application of Pyeongchang City in Gangwon Province to IOC. (The) Central Government, Gangwon Provincial Government and KOC designated PC as a host applicant city of Korea for International Bidding”.

Applications are due to the IOC by February 4th. At least six other cities will be in the race which won’t be decided until 2003.
