Following his recent appearance at Buckingham Palace to support London’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, Sebastian Coe, head of London’s bid, said Prince William is “extremely enthusiastic” about the bid and “private conversations” were on with the Prince.
Hello magazine has quoted Coe as saying “it is vital for the success of the bid that all generations are invoked and having Prince William on board would be fantastic in terms of enthusing young people”.
But a spokesman for Clarence House said that Prince William’s current priority is his studies. “Until he completes his education, he is not in a position to consider any sort of official role with the campaign”.
