According to a published report, Poprad Slovakia intends to submit an application to be a candidate for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Poprad’s mayor said that despite the International Olympic Committee’s concerns about the city’s traffic, the mayor guarantees that by 2014, the situation will be rectified.
Poprad’s bid has the support of the Slovakian government and the country’s National Olympic Committee.
