Paris 2012 bid organizers have launched an international tender for one or more public relations agencies to support its bid in key international markets.
It’s the first time Paris has sought international assistance in this scale, having worked exclusively with French agencies for its previous failed 1992 and 2008 bids.
Philippe Baudillon, CEO of Paris 2012 said in a statement, “this is an important and progressive step for Paris 2012. We want to internationalize our bid”.
The statement said it is expected that the selected agencies will work very closely with Publicis, a French-owned international agency that has been appointed by Paris 2012 to handle communications for the domestic market.
