Paris 2012 Bid Gets Mobilized With Largest Communications Campaign

It’s called the largest communications campaign ever launched by the Ile-de-France Region and it was launched Monday by Jean-Paul Huchon, President of the Ile-de-France Region and Marie Richard, Vice-President in charge of Sport, Tourism and Leisure to boost Paris’ bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

The campaign conveys a high-impact message: “All united and mobilized for the Games”.

Four thousand 4 x 3 posters will be displayed across the region’s eight government departments from September 20 to October 7. Also, every train station, metro station and bus station will display posters proclaiming the following words, “Paris 2012, 8 districts united to win”.

Also, a campaign will be conducted from September 21 to October 6 using the same visuals in both the region and in the national press. The visuals show high jumpers and weightlifters in humorous situations. All the athletes participated in the campaign for free.
