The Opening Ceremony of the Turin 2006 Paralympic Games takes place Friday night with, what the International Olympic Committee (IOC) says, is a live show of “great visual impact”, and will be seen by millions of spectators in Italy and around the world.
According to the Turin 2006 Web site a grand “Festa” will be celebrated with dances, music and amazing technology.
Spaces and the set design have been created to physically portray the guiding concept of the Ceremony; “beyond every limit, beyond every barrier, ensuring that athletes and spectators feel emotionally united within the same show”, says the IOC.
