Sixty-three events will be being held across China to celebrate the one-year countdown to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The events have been categorized into four parts. There are theme activities organized by Beijing 2008; activities organized by the Beijing municipal government; community activities in Beijing; and activities in Olympic co-host cities across the country.
August 4-8 BOCOG will sponsor several Olympic themed activities including the IOC Olympic treasure exhibition, the 2008 Olympic landscape sculpture exhibition, smiling Beijing volunteer activities and football competitions among Olympic sponsors.
The ten families selected to tour Beijing through the “Olympic Families Tour Beijing” promotion, will begin their official Olympic tour.
The theme song We Are Ready, written for the Olympic Games one-year countdown, will be released.
Other activities in Beijing will include public fitness, forums, exhibitions, and musical instrument competitions.
