Lord Coe, head of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, is arriving in Glasgow Monday night to meet with John Scott, chief executive of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, to sign a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) Tuesday.
Under the agreement the two committees will share the financial and social benefits of hosting the two events so close together. They include deals on sponsorship, volunteers and secondments for staff.
The 2012 Summer Games and the 2014 Commonwealth Games marks only the second time the two events have been hosted by the same country within two years of each other, reports STV TV.
Full details of the agreement have not yet been released.
