The final session of the 43rd meeting of the International Paralympic Committee Governing Board ended after two days of meetings.
Presentations were given to members of the Governing Board by representatives from Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, and London 2012 Organizing Committees.
Dena Coward, VANOC Director of Paralympic Games, presented the Vancouver 2010 emblem to the Governing Board. All 15 GB members unanimously approved the emblem. It will be unveiled to the general public in June.
Zhang Quiping, Director of the BOCOG Paralympic Games Department said, “to date 11 Chinese and international enterprises have become Beijing 2008 Partners. Our promotional concept for the Beijing Paralympic Games is ‘Excel, Integrate, Share’”.
Sir Keith Mills, Deputy Chairman of London 2012’s Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, said that plans to make all facilities and venues widely accessible to athletes with diverse skills, backgrounds and requirements would be a feature of the London Games.
