Nigeria’s bid committee for the 2014 Commonwealth Games is leaving Wednesday for Melbourne Australia to attend a three-day conference on the bidding process for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Officials from all three bid cities, Abuja, Glasgow and Halifax, will be in Melbourne for the July 10-13 conference.
An Nigerian Olympic official reportedly said, “they are expected to be taken through all aspects of the bid process, the ethics, the legal bounds and other dos and the don’ts”, adding that the idea was to ensure that all the cities confirmed to the rules as prescribed by the Commonwealth Games Federation.
The bid cities will attend 26 lectures and visit all the sites of the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
