According to New York’s deputy mayor Dan Doctoroff, founder and coordinator of New York’s 2012 Olympic bid, final details of the organization’s plan have been mailed to the U.S. Olympic Committee.
The 95-page document, along with specifics requested by the USOC, has an update on security that addresses the impact of Sept. 11. The addendum to New York’s bid proposal originally presented in December 2000, touches on New York’s “international strategy” for selling its bid to the IOC, its blueprint for partnering with the USOC in the Olympic effort, its plan for organizing the Paralympics, and its assurances of “ethics and grievances” in light of scandal uncovered in Salt Lake’s 2002 Winter bid.
A USOC inspection team will visit New York for the second time on June 30 and July 1.
