New Road To Benefit Turin 2006 Games

A new road link on the Avigliana route, one of the largest infrastructure projects linked to the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics, has been given the go ahead and should be completed by the end of 2005.

The Ana Board of Directors released about 30 million euros last week to finance part of the construction.

Another portion of the construction, the tunnel linking the road to the A32 highway, costs 80 million euros and will be financed by public funds.

The new road link will ease access to the Olympic venues and competition sites.
