New Name For 2010 Olympic Games Conference Centre

The newly renovated Whistler Conference Centre, a venue for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games is getting a new name, following a 10-year agreement between Tourism Whistler and TELUS.

TELUS is the largest telecommunications company in Western Canada and the second largest in the country.

The TELUS Conference Centre will play host to visiting athletes, government representatives, sports officials, International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee officials for events leading up to the 2010 Winter Games.

The TELUS Conference Centre will be outfitted with advanced telecommunications infrastructure.
