Buoyed by the enthusiasm of thousands attending the Olympic Torch Relay in Munich Wednesday, Munich’s Mayor Christian Ude told German media that his city stands ready to bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
He said that no other city has as much enthusiasm for the Games as Munich.
“If asked whether we want to be a candidate – of course we stand ready together ….with other cities”, said the Mayor.
Also, Klaus Steinbach President of the German Olympic Committee, called the Olympic Winter Games in Germany “a strong option”.
