Moscow 2012 Bid Won’t Be Affected By Theatre Siege

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge said the hostage drama in Moscow “will not have an impact in a negative way” on Moscow’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

“People know terrorism is universal. No city can declare itself as a safe haven which is immune from terrorist attacks. We have seen it in New York (with the September 11 attacks in 2001) and now in Moscow”, he said.
