A meteorological workshop is being held today in Turin Italy, according to an agreement that the Technical Prevention Services Department of the Piemonte Region is to provide weather forecasts and information on snow conditions leading up to and during the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Games.
During the workshop a discussion will be held on meteorological support of the Games and reports will be presented on meteorology in winter sports competitions.
Tom Potter, coordinator of meteorological planning of the Salt Lake 2002 Organizing Committee will present his report on the Salt Lake Games.
