McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew competed in a skills demonstration, as multi-national crew teams representing 35 countries built Big Mac sandwiches to beat the clock. Celebrity coaches and Olympic dignitaries attended the event at the Main Press Centre in Athens.
International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge attended and welcomed the international crew to the Olympic Games.
The 400 members of McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew were selected from 1.5 million McDonald’s employees worldwide through special competitions and criteria in the areas of service, speed, accuracy, personality, teamwork and operational excellence.
The McDonald’s Crew will be providing meal services to Olympic athletes, coaches, spectators and the media at three special food service sites at the Olympic Games.
