Construction has begun on an 8.3 kilometre extension of Madrid metro Line 7 from Las Musas to San Fernando de Henares, to be open in March 2007.
The route will have eight stations – the first east of Las Musas would serve the main stadium for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games should Madrid’s 2012 bid be successful.
