Madrid City Council’s commission of urbanism voted Wednesday to transfer final approval to the next plenary session of the Olympic Ring plan to be located between two freeways.
The Olympic Stadium, the Aquatic Centre, the Sports Pavilion, and the track and field venue will be located inside the Olympic Ring.
Companies like Mintra, el Canal de Isabel 11, Renfe, the main directorate of Civil Aviation, and the General Consortium of Madrid Transportation have been interested in a project that will equip Madrid with the infrastructure to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
Meanwhile, Madrid plans to fuel its cars and buses with environmentally friendly products. It’s one of the measures suggested by Madrid 2012 organizers.
