Madrid’s city council is allocating 111 million euros for its 2012 Summer Olympic bid.
The money will be spent on construction and refurbishing of sports venues including the tennis centre, aquatic sports centre and extensive work on the Madrid Stadium and the Olympic Park Western area.
There are also plans for the urban restoration and improvement of the city in conjunction with its Olympic bid.
