Madrid’s Mayor Alberto Ruiz-Gallardon said Monday that he will decide in a few days or weeks if Madrid intends to bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Madrid previously bid for the 2012 Summer Games which was won by London.
Gallardon will make a decision after consulting with other officials.
Gallardon made the announcement in Barcelona after receiving a sports prize from Sports Culture Barcelona for the Madrid 2012 bid and thanked Barcelona for supporting the bid.
