Madrid 2012’s key to success is its compact facilities and the quality of its venues. This is the message the Fundacion Madrid 2012 wants to relay to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) when it approved it’s questionnaire that will presented to the IOC at it’s headquarters in Lausanne on January 15.
To make its bid more compact Madrid 2012 has moved the Pabellon Arena, site of the basketball finals and gymnastics. It has been moved to an area where 16 other sporting events will be held.
In the western part of the city there is a concentration of six sports and five in the centre of the city.
Several sports have been moved from their original locations to make the bid more compact.
