Journalist Carlos Martin has joined Madrid 2012 as head of its Press Office.
According to a Madrid media release Martin has had an extensive professional career in the information field, mainly in Spanish public television RTVE, where he worked as a commentator for different Olympic disciplines in the past few years, including the World Swimming Championships last July in Barcelona, the World Championships in Athletics held in Paris last month, and in September 2000 Martin was the commentator of the inaugural ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games.
Martin will join Madrid 2012’s information office October 1. He will be responsible for the press department as well as the national and international promotion of Madrid 2012’s bid.
