Now that Madrid has become Spain’s candidate for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, the bid committee has started organizing its bid.
The Olympic project is being divided into four areas – infrastructure, economic, social and technical and will be coordinated by Sports councilman Gaspar Oliver and Olympic champion Pepope Ballester.
A headquarters for the Olympic bid is next on the bid agenda before it reports to the Spanish Olympic Committee in July or August.
The bid office is to be located at Polideportivo de Son Moix.
