London Hotels Asked To Improve Ahead Of 2012 Games

As part of a wider 1.65 million pound tourism support package, London hotels will be encouraged to raise their standards ahead of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Now only one in three hotels in London have a “star rating” but the London Agency Initiative (LDA) wants to ensure that at least half of London’s hotels are graded by 2010.

Mary Reilly, chair of the LDA, said, “often the lasting impression we get from our holidays can be from the accommodation we stay in and the people we meet. With London 2012 approaching it’s vital that visitors know the standard of the hotel they’re booking”, reports the Telegraph.
