London 2012 Stadium May Still Be Wrapped

London 2012 organizers have invited the private sector to declare its interest in supplying the wrap for the London 2012 Olympic Stadium.

The stadium wrap was withdrawn from the Olympic Delivery Authority’s “budget and scope” following the government’s Comprehensive Spending Review.

But now London 2012 organizers say they are exploring possible sponsorship opportunities in exchange for sector-exclusive marketing rights as part of the procurement process.

Paul Deighton, Chief Executive Officer of LOCOG said, “we have an significant interest in supplying the stadium wrap from the private sector, so now is the time to start a formal tender process”.
