London 2012 Looks For More Corporate Support

The head of London’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, Lord Coe, is calling on the business community to give more support to London’s bid.

The Evening Standard reports that Lord Coe is alleged to be disappointed with responses from the city to the campaign and wants several more million pounds in corporate backing.

He says businesses can also help by offering products or services.

So far British Airways, EDF and British Telecom have each given the bid one million pounds.

Looking to city banks to back the bid, Lord Coe said: “the financial and corporate underpinning are very important”.
