London 2012 “Key Transport Link” Unveiled

London mayor Ken Livingstone officially unveiled a revamped Jubilee line on the London Underground, which he says, will be a “key transport link” for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Livingstone said that as well as proving crucial to a successful 2012 Olympic Games, the improved service also saves London a potential 1.6m hours every year, benefiting business across the city.

He said, “after many years when London’s public services were starved of cash we are now investing heavily in the transport system, and the increased capacity on the Jubilee Line will be a major boost for this key transport link, which connected up north west London, central London, Canary Wharf and the London 2012 Olympic site”.
