The 10-member London 2012 bid team arrived from last week’s International Olympic Committee (IOC) seminar in Lausanne Switzerland “buoyed” by the four days of briefings.
London 2012 bid Chairman Barbara Cassani and Chief Executive Keith Mills led the team.
A London 2012 bid spokesman said, “we came away encouraged especially as there were lots of positive things being said about the work we have do so far. But we are very well aware that there’s a long way still to go”.
The spokesman added, “it’s been an excellent few days, during which we’ve learned much more about the bidding process and what is expected of us.
“We should also pay tribute to, and thank, the IOC for organizing everything and sharing its expertise and knowledge”.
