London 2012 Construction Workers To Be Safe

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and CLM, the Delivery Partner that will help project manage the delivery of the venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, today underlined their commitment to health and safety as CLM formally committed to the ODA’s Health and Safety Standard.

ODA Chief Executive David Higgins said, “health and safety is our number one priority – it is vital we ensure that the workers constructing the facilities for the London 2010 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games are kept safe and healthy. It is not just about reducing risk and injury but promoting good health in the workforce”.

The ODA HS&E Standard was published earlier this year and is based around the principles of consultation and engagement, minimizing risk for construction workers.
