The campaign is called “2012 X 100” and its an opportunity for each small federation, each association and each enterprise to donate 100 euro and become a supporter of Leipzig’s bid to become the German candidate for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
All donors will receive a personal document and the bid committee expects that at least 2012 supporter documents will be issued prior to the selection of Germany’s 2012 candidate by the German Olympic Committee on April 12.
Meanwhile, more than 150 cities and municipalities of Baden-Wuerttemberg will take part in a country-wide Olympics day on Saturday Feb. 8, on behalf of Stuttgart’s bid to become Germany’s candidate.
Each municipality will promote Stuttgart’s bid in a different way, through various cultural and sports events.
