Leipzig’s new logo in its bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games was officially unveiled Wednesday at the city’s central station.
But a new slogan may not be announced until Leipzig’s next supervisory board meeting November 19.
Leipzig’s Mayor Wolfgang Tiefensee said the new logo will be seen around the world showing that Germany is serious about its Olympic bid.
An Amsterdam design company submitted the winning design and the company was awarded 50,000 euros. It was one of eleven designs submitted to Leipzig’s bid committee.
