Mike de Vries is the manager of Leipzig’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. De Vries has had experience in national and international sport as well as public relations.
With the organization of the Leipzig 2012 Olympic bid committee prerequisites have been established regarding the international bid. The German Olympic Committee is responsible for 50.1 per cent of the bid, Saxony’s portion is 34 per cent, the city of Leipzig 11 per cent and the sailing venue Rostock, is 4.9 per cent.
