Kyocera Mita Italia Becomes Turin 2006 Sponsor

Kyocera Mita Italia, part of the International Kyocera Corporation with headquarters in Japan and branches in 160 countries, has become an official sponsor of the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The company will provide the TOROC with document management services: the printing and reproduction of more than six million pages including all reports, results and standings that will be produced during the Olympic Games.

It will supply the TOROC with fax equipment, printers, photocopiers and high performance multifunction systems, along with toner, cartridges and other related material.

A technical team will be available 24 hours a day to provide support to more than 10,000 accredited journalists, 2,500 technicians and escorts of the national teams, 2,300 IOC and National Federation representatives, and 650 judges and referees.

Meanwhile, the areas of Turin involved in the Games will have a complete makeover. The Municipal Electric Company is investing 13 million euro to improve the illumination of about 100 public areas.

New lights will be installed in Piassa d’Armi, the heart of the Games; and new lighting systems are being planned for the hill up to Superga, the Automobile Museum, the Sanctuary of the Consolata, the “Cittadella” and the Mosca, Isabella, Umberto I and Balbis Bridges.
