All the sports associations in Malaysia have announced they are supporting Kuala Lumpur’s bid for the 2010 Asian Games.
Kuala Lumpur is competing against Guangzhou to host the 2010 Asian Games.
The Olympic Council of Malaysia handed in Kuala Lumpur’s bid documents to the Olympic Council of Asia at the March 30 deadline, but the government is to decide Tuesday whether or not it is right for Malaysia to bid for the 2010 Games.
Meanwhile, a five-member evaluation committee headed by Olympic Council of Asia vice president Celso Dayrit has been in Kuala Lumpur to attend meetings with the bid committee, and inspect and evaluate the facilities and other infrastructure to be used should the city win the 2010 Asian Games bid.
