Japan’s Olympic Day Run is held annually to help commemorate Baron Pierre de Coubertin’s establishment of the Modern Olympic Games in 1894 and to promote the country’s Olympic spirit.
The Olympic Day Run program, being held in cities across Japan, will include a torch relay at the beginning of the run.
All participants will be presented with an Olympic Day Run T-shirt and certificate of participation signed by Juan Antonio Samaranch, president of the International Olympic Committee.
