Istanbul has released it’s bid book online. The large document that contains Istanbul’s complete candidacy file for the 2008 Olympics was originally submitted to the IOC in January.
The Istanbul organizing committee projects a surplus of US$19.25 million and a total of US$2.3 billion in expenditures and capital investment. Ticket prices will range from US$10 to US$550 with average competition tickets costing US$30 and ceremony tickets US$200.
The Paris Bid was first to release its bid book, followed closely by Toronto. Osaka, and often-favoured Beijing, the other remaining bid cities, have kept their candidacy files private.
