The Coordination Commission for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games began a two-day visit to Vancouver Wednesday where the commission will review Vancouver 2010’s progress to date.
It’s the first time that the full Coordination Commission will meet with Vancouver 2010’s new senior management team in Vancouver.
The meeting will cover a number of key areas at this stage, including venues, infrastructure, sport, marketing and transport, as well as a more general overview of Vancouver 2010’s current situation.
The commission members will also view first hand the sites of some of the venues to be used during the 2010 Games.
Vancouver will host the 2010 Games from February 12 to 28, 2010. The mountain events will take place in Whistler, the site of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games from March 12 to 21.
