IOC Team In Hong Kong
A delegation of 20 members from the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Coordination Commission headed by Hein Verbruggen, and officials from the Beijing 2008 Organizing Committee arrived in Hong Kong Sunday for a two-day visit.
Hong Kong is hosting some of the events at the Beijing 2008 Games
Hong Kong Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing briefed the IOC commission.
The IOC delegation will tour the Olympic Village accommodation facilities Monday, as well as the equestrian venues in Sha Tin and Sheung Shui in the new Territories.
The IOC Coordination Commission will be inspecting venues in Beijing later this week.
