IOC In London For Seventh Inspection Of London 2012 Preparations

International Olympic Committee (IOC) officials are now in London for three days of meetings with London 2012 organizers to assess the progress for the 2012 Summer Games. The meetings take place Wednesday through Friday.

The IOC commission members will also visit some of the sports venues now under construction.

It’s the seventh visit by the IOC commission since London was awarded the 2012 Summer Games in 2005.

The Associated Press reports the organizers are also expected to brief the IOC on plans for the first Olympic test events being held next year.

Since the IOC visited London in July, London 2012 has launched its volunteer program and announced its ticket prices.
