IOC Confident In Sochi 2014 After Attack

The Associated Press reports the International Olympic Committee (IOC) says it’s confident Russia will provide a safe Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014.

The IOC expressed condolences to the victims of Monday’s suicide attacks in Moscow where at least 38 people were killed when two women blew themselves in subway stations during the morning rush.

Sochi is in the same southern region and near the Georgian border.

The IOC calls security a top priority and reportedly expects Russia to put in place “all necessary measures” to ensure a safe Olympics in four years.
