Five leading international Olympic experts from Australia, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United States have joined Paris in its bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
According to a media release their combined expertise in some of the key areas examined by the International Olympic Committee include security, venues, infrastructure and transports, sustainable development and finance.
The five experts are Senior Technical Advisor David Churches, who will review all technical aspects of Paris’ candidature; David Desmarcheller, Senior Olympic Security Advisor responsible for assisting the Bid team in developing a plan that merges France’s capabilities with the cluster concepts Paris 2012 has developed; Julius de Heer, Senior Environment and Sustainable Development Advisor who will be in charge of enhancing further sustainable development as a major component of the Candidature File; Brett Hopkins, Senior Financial Advisor; and Mike Loynd, Senior Operational Advisor, who will provide organizational operational and architectural advice on the competition venues and clusters.
