Itar-Tass reports an information centre for the preparation of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games has opened. The opening coincides with the first visit to Sochi by the International Olympic Committee’s coordination commission.
The centre will provide information to the public about the preparation of the Olympic Games.
Minister for Regional Development Dmitry Kozak said at the opening ceremony, “there are all kinds of incredible rumours and conjectures among the residents of Sochi and the country and journalists. This is why we should inform them about the decisions concerning the construction of infrastructure, the allotment of land sites, expenditures and employment. All information will be concentrated here”.
According to Itar-Tass about a hundred questions have been received by the Olympic hotline since the information centre opened.
