India’s Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee announced Sunday that India was ready to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games and would consider Hyderabad as its candidate city.
Vajpayee said during the closing ceremony of the 32nd National Games, “Indian sports persons had done well in the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games and now we are ready to enter the Olympics”.
New Delhi India is one of two cities bidding for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
