India Olympic Association (IOC) Secretary General Randhir Singh told reporters Wednesday that preparations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games being held in India are on track.
He said infrastructure is being developed to ensure that it would be the greatest ever Games.
“We are currently building three indoor stadiums and the old facilities used at the 1982 Asian Games like the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium are also being renovated”, he said.
“Three astro-turf hockey pitches are also being laid. After the facilities are readied India will also bid to host the 2014 Asian Games”.
