The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) said it will make a bid to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 or 2016 Olympic Games.
A five-member committee has been set up by the IOA to examine certain rules pertaining to the National Games and also to look into the need for introducing new formats.
The IOA General Body has also decided to bid for the Olympic Games.
IOA president Suresh Kalmadi said he and the IOA Secretary General would be meeting with India’s Prime Minister to get his approval in this regard.
