Michel Destot, the deputy mayor of Grenoble, declared that the city would probably become a candidate for the 2014 Winter Games.
Andre Vallini, president of the general Council of Isere, said that last fall he started thinking of a 2014 bid in Isere. He said, “the Olympic idea is in any case a very beautiful idea and very strong, likely to mobilize all energies of our department, to start with its youth but also with all the sharp forces and in particular those of the economic and tourist world”.
