German Olympic Association President Tells Candidate Cities To Play Fair

German Olympic Association President Klaus Steinbach warned the five cities bidding to become the German candidate for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games to play fair. He also said that once the German candidate is selected, the four other cities should rally around the German candidate.

Steinbach is meeting with Jacques Rogge, head of the International Olympic Committee, in Lausanne Switzerland on January 21.

Steinbach also said Germany’s Olympic bid will only have a chance if the entire nation joins together to support the bid.

Steinbach announced he is signing an agreement with all the German mayors on January 10 in Berlin to accept the German Olympic Association’s decision when it makes its selection on April 12.
